The first in a 2-part webinar series on grief, this webinar is for any clinician, therapist or mental health professional wanting to know more about grief & bereavement in a clinical setting and how to begin to work therapeutically with clients.
Whether you are completely new to grief therapy or simply wanting a refresher, this webinar will offer something to those wanting to expand their clinical work with a grief focus. Dr Gemma Gladstone will present an overview of what grief is and some of the models used to conceptualize the human experience of bereavement, with a particular focus on Attachment Therapy Approaches.
She will also cover what it means to “grow around grief” (rather than resolve or complete grief) and what this actually means for our clients. The webinar also introduces Experiential Interventions as powerful and healing therapeutic tools clinicians can use when working with many different expressions of grief and loss. Examples of experiential methods will be given with a special focus on the introduction to chair work, its specific aims and the steps involved.
